A vehicle hit and injured a motorcyclist in Sparks (Sparks, NV)

On Saturday afternoon, a two-vehicle accident in the industrial area of Sparks hospitalized one person when a vehicle took an illegal U-turn and crashed into a motorcycle.

The incident took place at around 3:20 p.m. in the 900 block of Glendale Avenue wherein two vehicles were involved. According to police, authorities confirmed a citation to the driver of a vehicle for taking an illegal U-turn that caused the crash in which the rider was ejected from the motorcycle.

As per reports, the motorcyclist was in stable condition at the hospital. The motorcycle and the vehicle had major damage. Police confirmed that alcohol and speed have not contributed to the accident. The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
