A vehicle crashed into a house in Springfield; driver arrested (Springfield, TN)

On Wednesday evening, a driver crashed their vehicle into a home in Springfield.

The incident took place in the 400 block of S Pawnee Drive at N. Brown St shortly before 8 pm. As per the reports, three people were inside the home at the time of the collision, including a ten-year-old child. The occupants of the home said that they were eating when they heard what sounded like a bomb and then the entire house trembled.

Officials said that it seems that the vehicle was on Brown Street when the driver failed to negotiate a turn onto Pawnee Drive and ran into the home. The force of the crash penetrated the home’s basement, causing major damage. No one in the home suffered injuries after the accident.

The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Springfield Police Department all answered to the call. It is unknown if the driver received any injuries. The driver was arrested and taken to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield.

An investigation is underway.
