One person died and two others were injured Saturday after a traffic accident in north Houston.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on Veterans Memorial Drive. The preliminary reports showed that the driver was traveling northbound in his pickup at around 10:45 p.m. in the 10400 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.
Just then, the pickup truck crashed into the other truck, which was attempting to turn onto Veterans Memorial from Moorebrook Drive. The driver of the truck that got struck succumbed to their injuries at the scene, and their passenger was transported to a hospital, where their condition was stabilized. The other driver displayed signs of intoxication and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
