On Tuesday, a two-vehicle crash claimed life of a 78-year-old George Pacheco on Orange Blossom Road while police arrested 23-year-old Jesus Perez of Oakdale.
The fatal incident happened at around 7 p.m. near Lancaster Road. Authorities confirmed that three people were in a southbound Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle entered the northbound lane and hit a Chevrolet Tahoe.
On arrival, officials declared Pacheco, the Tahoe driver deceased. A 76-year-old woman, an unknown passenger of Tahoe suffered critical injuries. Perez, the Silverado driver, and their passenger also sustained major injuries while a second passenger in the Silverado suffered minimal injuries. Officers believe that alcohol may have played a factor in the accident.
An investigation is continuing.
