A two-vehicle collision killed 83-year-old Dallas Wyatt and injured 65-year-old Rebecca McVicker (Sunnyside, WA)

83-year-old Dallas Wyatt, of Outlook, was killed and 65-year-old Rebecca McVicker suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash on I-82 near MP 68 near the Sunnyside exit.

According to the officials, the semi-truck was in the left lane, passing the Buick SUV, when the SUV merged into the left lane and was hit by the semi-truck. Reports indicated that two people were inside the 2018 Buick Envision at the time of the collision.

The driver, 83-year-old Dallas Wyatt, was declared deceased at the scene while the passenger, 65-year-old Rebecca McVicker, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, 46-year-old Jennifer Mills remained uninjured. Authorities said that one eastbound lane is still shut down due to the accident. No charges have been filed and next of kin has been notified, officers added.

The cause of the fatal crash is under investigation.
