Paramedics airlifted 3 people to the hospital after a crash on I-5 in Federal Way in the southbound lanes, just south of State Route 18.
Police said that the crash involved two cars and that one of the cars caught fire. Officials believed that impairment seemed to be a factor in the accident. Authorities closed all lanes for traffic and advised the drivers to take alternate routes and to avoid the area.
An investigation is ongoing.
