On Saturday morning, one person lost their life after a two-vehicle accident on West Hanks Road near North Griffin Road.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at about 6:55 a.m. on West Hanks Road between North Griffin Road and North County Line Road. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle and a farm truck crashed head-on into each other for reasons that are yet to be known.
On arrival, medics transported one injured victim to a nearby hospital with non-critical injuries. The officials closed the road for several minutes as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
