A two-vehicle accident on Old Hammond Highway left a man in critical condition (Baton Rouge, LA)

On Thursday afternoon, a man was hospitalized in critical condition after his vehicle went under a school bus on a busy highway.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash was reported just before 3 p.m. on Old Hammond Highway at Manson Drive. The early reports showed that 23 children from Liberty Magnet High School were on board the bus, but no one was injured as a result of the collision.

The bus driver was transported to an urgent care facility by the medics for a simple checkup. The driver of the vehicle that was trapped under the bus was immediately taken to a hospital. Reports further revealed that he was listed in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
