One person was killed following a traffic collision Tuesday on Highway 49 in Nevada County.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at around 6:30 a.m. near Alta Sierra Drive. Officials confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. It is unknown if the incident led to any other injuries.
The early reports showed that a car and a big rig hauling 100 gallons of diesel were involved in the wreck. The events that have led up to the accident also remain unknown at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other information is available.
