A two-vehicle accident killed a man and injured a woman in southeast Memphis (Memphis, TN)

On Saturday night, a 56-year-old man lost his life while a woman sustained injuries after an overnight crash in southeast Memphis.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Hickory Hill and E. Raines a little before 11 p.m. after getting reports of a two-vehicle collision. The early reports confirmed that a 56-year-old man died of his injuries at the crash scene.

On arrival, emergency crews transported a female passenger to Regional One in critical condition. Investigators said that one vehicle made a U-turn and was struck by another vehicle. No other details are immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
