On Saturday night, four people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Lynwood.
The initial reports revealed that a 31-year-old Grandview man was heading south in a Volkswagen Jetta at about 11:30 p.m. on the highway with his two passengers when he reportedly crossed the median and collided with a northbound minivan head-on, just south of Lincoln Way.
On arrival, first responders transported Jetta driver and one of his passengers to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of their injuries. The other passenger was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. As per the reports, no one was wearing a seatbelt when the vehicles crashed into each other.
The minivan driver, a 38-year-old Everett woman, was also shifted to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with unknown injuries. Authorities believe that alcohol or drugs played a part in the accident. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
