A two-car crash injured 2 people in northeast El Paso (El Paso, TX)

On Thursday afternoon, two people received injuries in a two-vehicle accident in northeast El Paso.

Officials blocked a portion of Dyer Street during the busy commute following the crash. The incident took place in the 8700 block of Dyer, which is Business U.S. Route 54. Officers mentioned that all north and southbound lanes of Dyer were shut down from Sunrise Street to Moonlight Avenue, and detours would remain in place until further notice.

Firefighters said that two people were injured as a result of the accident; one of them was seriously injured. On arrival, emergency crews transported both the victims to local hospitals. The identities of the injured victims remain undisclosed.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
