A truck hit and killed a female bicyclist on Cottonwood Avenue near Yucca Street (Hesperia, CA)

On Tuesday, a woman lost her life following a two-vehicle crash on Cottonwood Avenue near Yucca Street.

As per the preliminary information, the fatal bicycle crash occurred at around 12:05 p.m. on Cottonwood Avenue, between Yucca and Main Street. Officials actively responded to the scene and discovered a female near a white bicycle in the middle of road.

The initial investigation of the crash revealed that a white box delivery truck, owned by Armando’s furniture, was also involved in the crash. Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Taylor Reynolds confirmed that the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The driver and a passenger of the box truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigating team. The road was shut down for several hours while authorities investigated the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
