A train hit and killed a pedestrian at railroad crossing in Kent (Kent, WA)

On Friday evening, one person died after being hit by a train at a railroad crossing in Kent.

As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place at the Burlington Northern Railroad crossing. The early reports showed that a train struck one person. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified.

Traffic in both directions was back open at 212th Street. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
