On Wednesday morning, a traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported near the San Pablo Dam Road exit on westbound I-80, according to CHP. The crash scene was later cleared for traffic.
CHP announced a major traffic alert at 10:46 a.m., stating that at least one person received injuries following the crash. At this time, it is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision. Traffic was congested starting at Richmond Parkway, according to KCBS Traffic.
Although crash scene was cleared around 11 a.m. yet the traffic problems remained after a big rig was stuck in the same area about a half an hour later. Motorists are asked to expect continued delays in the affected area. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is underway.
