On Sunday morning, a traffic accident led to the complete shutdown of Sierra Highway in Newhall.
As per the initial information, first responders got information of a traffic collision between a vehicle and a power pole on Sierra Highway and Placerita Canyon Road at about 8:13 a.m. The reports also showed that the crash did not cause life-threatening injuries. However, it is still unclear how many people were injured or if anyone required hospitalization.
Both directions of Sierra Highway were briefly closed by police as Southern California Edison worked to restore the power line. As of 2:20 p.m. Sunday, no outages have been reported by SoCal Edison. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
