NHP reported the death of 1 person and injuries of two others following a three vehicle crash near Glenbrook on Sunday.
Moreover, NHP says US-50 will remain closed for traffic for another hour and a half to two hours. Furthermore, crews are investigating and clearing the scene.
Later, officials urged the drivers to avoid the affected area.
Authorities received the reports of the incident at around 5:11 p.m.
Afterwards, medical crew airlifted one victim through CareFlight. However, they transported the other victim to the hospital by road.
As per initial investigation, impairment appeared to be a factor in the crash.
Authorities blocked US-50 in both directions and advised drivers to adopt alternate routes due to a lengthy closure.
Authorities did not release any further information regarding the incident.
Also, an investigation is continuing.
