Injuries were reports after a three-vehicle accident Tuesday in Castro Valley.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck was reported before 4:30 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 580 near the Strobridge Avenue onramp. The early reports indicated that two big rigs and a car were involved in the collision.
The incident caused injuries, but it is unknown how many people in total were injured or if anyone was hospitalized. The circumstances surrounding the crash also remain unclear. All eastbound lanes were back open just after 6 a.m. but the onramp was still blocked. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
