A suspected DUI crash injured a pedestrian and a driver in Torrance (Torrance, CA)

On Tuesday, a pedestrian and a female driver received moderate injuries in a suspected DUI crash in Torrance that caused damaged to a brewery’s entrance.

The woman suspected of the DUI was heading southbound on Del Amo Circle East and reputedly went through a stop sign at the intersection of Plaza Del Amo, where she hit a pedestrian walking in the crosswalk at around 2:30 p.m., as per Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department.

The woman lost control of her car after hitting the pedestrian and slammed her car into The Brews Hall brewery at 21770 Del Amo Circle East, Ponegalek stated. The crash did not cause injuries to anyone in the brewery, but the building’s entrance was damaged. The woman and the pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a hospital.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
