A single-vehicle crash injured 2 people in Ferndale (Ferndale, WA)

On Thursday, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Ferndale.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the T-intersection of Brown and Malloy Roads in Ferndale at around 6am after getting reports of a single-vehicle accident. Officers received calls about a vehicle that had crashed into a residence. On arrival, officers learned that a red Nissan Titan pickup truck had crashed into a tree and came to a stop in a ditch.

The preliminary investigation showed that the Nissan was northbound on Malloy Road when it failed to stop at the signed T-intersection and hit a tree on the opposite side. Both the driver and a passenger were taken to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with non-serious injuries. Officers charged the driver with DUI.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
