On Sunday morning, a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 near Mariposa Road caused a road closure.
As per the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 7:21 a.m. on I-15 near Avenal Street. Reports disclosed that a northbound black Lexus lost balance for unclear reasons and overturned before smashing into a chain-link perimeter fence and resting on its wheels in Mariposa Road.
Afterwards, responders treated one person complaining of pain at the scene. Authorities told that all occupants of the vehicle have exited the vehicle. Additionally, the accidents did not cause injuries to anyone else. Later, CHP shut down traffic on Mariposa Road for the purpose of investigation.
