A single-car crash injured a 26-year-old woman on I-90 (Mercer Island, WA)

On Sunday, authorities rescued a 26-year-old woman after she crashed her car along Interstate 90 overnight.

Firefighters and medics actively responded to the crash scene, on eastbound I-90 near West Mercer Way, at around 11 p.m. after receiving the news of a traffic collision. As per reports, the woman was pinned inside her vehicle.

Crews were able to safely free the woman and medics transported her to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Officials blocked lanes of I-90 during the rescue operation but have since reopened. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.

The incident remains under active review.
