On Tuesday, one person died after being hit by a semi-truck on State Route 9.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash was reported at around 11:35 a.m. on the 6300 block of Lawrence Road. The early reports showed that a big rig struck the person for undetermined reasons. On arrival, emergency responders tried to revive the victim, but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. Officials shut down Lawrence Road for approximately two hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
