On Tuesday morning, a pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a semi-truck in Tempe.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place on the off-ramp of the Loop 101, close to Baseline a little before 4 a.m. in which a pedestrian and a semi-truck were involved.
Responding officers confirmed that the incident led to a fatality but have not provided any other details at this time. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. The authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
