A bicyclist lost his life after being fatally struck by a semi-truck in Kilgore.
Kilgore police Department reported that the bicyclist had entered the roadway while the semi-truck was heading south at the time of the collision. Before the arrival of officials, citizens and an off-duty paramedic provided first aid to the victim.
On arrival, emergency crews rushed the male bicyclist to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased will be revealed after notifying the next of kin. Authorities have not released any further details regarding the two-vehicle crash at this time.
The fatal accident remains under active investigation.
