On Sunday morning, two adults and two children suffered injuries following a rollover accident, just a mile west of Zillah.
The incident happened at about 6:42 a.m. on Interstate 82 west of the Zillah city limits, approaching Washington State Route 22. The driver, a 43-year-old man from Redmond, was traveling eastbound in a 2005 Dodge Caravan when he drifted off the roadway and overcorrected as result of which his vehicle flipped over.
On arrival, paramedics took all the four of the passengers, including a 38-year-old Redmond woman and two small girls ages 8 and 11, to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The current condition of the victims has not been released at this time.
The cause of the accident was said to be negligent driving to the second degree. Officials also confirmed that intoxication from drugs or alcohol was not involved in the accident. The vehicle was wrecked after the crash, officers mentioned.
An investigation is ongoing.
