On Wednesday afternoon, two people received injuries following a rollover accident on 60 Freeway near Nason Street.
The wreck took place at about 12:40 p.m. on eastbound 60 Freeway near Nason Street. As per the reports, a black GMC Yukon lost control, flipped and rolled along the eastbound side of 60 Freeway. Then, it went over the center divider wall and into the No. 1 lane on the westbound side.
The driver or front-seat passenger was ejected and tossed into the westbound fast lane after the impact. The force of the crash left the ejected person with major injuries. On arrival, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics rushed the victim to nearby Riverside University Medical Center in critical condition.
The other occupant in the SUV was also immediately taken to the same hospital with life-threatening injuries. Reports revealed that two other vehicles had minor damage in the accident. The authorities have not reported any other injuries as a result of the crash.
