A rollover crash involving a fuel tanker reported in Spring area (Spring, TX)

There were reports of a single-vehicle accident early Wednesday in Spring area.

As per the initial information, the rollover crash took place in the 27700 block of E Hardy Road at about 2:40 a.m. Hazmat crews were requested to the scene after an 18-wheeler crashed inside a rail yard. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found an overturned fuel tanker in the Union Pacific Rail Yard.

The early reports showed that the tanker was carrying diesel fuel. It was also reported that two to three-thousand gallons of fuel is believed to have spilled due to the collision. It is unknown if anyone was injured as a result of the crash. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
