A 54-year-old semi-truck driver suffered injuries following a rollover accident in Union Gap at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
Reports revealed that the semi-truck was southbound on Rudkin Road at East Valley Mall Boulevard when the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve of a roundabout and flipped over. On arrival, paramedics transported the truck driver to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Police said that the driver was wearing a seatbelt. Authorities believed that speed played a factor in the crash while drugs or alcohol did not played a role.
An investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
