On early Thursday morning, a 21-year-old Port Orchard man received injuries after he lost control and rolled his car on U.S. Highway 101 west of Bees Mill.
The incident took place shortly before 2 a.m. near Milepost 302 on US 101. The man was traveling south when he lost control while negotiating a curve on a hill on the highway near its crossing over Spencer Creek.
The man’s 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt rolled over several times before it landed on its tires, facing east in the southbound lane. On arrival, medics transported the man to Jefferson Healthcare Medical Center in Port Townsend for treatment.
The victim is facing charges of speeding too fast for conditions and not wearing a seatbelt, police said. The Chevrolet was damaged due to the crash and removed from the scene by All City Auto Body & Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
