The Texas Department of Public Safety identified 67-year-old Juan Ramon Guerrero of Idalou who died in a rollover crash. Furthermore, emergency crews promptly responded to the scene of the deadly accident at about 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of FM 1729 and U.S. Highway 62/82.
Afterwards, DPS reported that Juan Ramon Guerrero was driving a crossover-SUV. Simultaneously, the vehicle entered into the center median, overcorrected, and turned over. Resultantly, the driver died at the scene. However, medics transported 80-year-old Amelia Rosa Guerrero, the other passenger to a hospital with critical injuries.
Later, authorities said that the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
As per officials, conditions were clear and dry and the driver was driving at a speed of 75 m.p.h.
Also, an investigation is continuing.
