On Thursday evening, a 17-year-old Conklin girl was hospitalized in critical condition after a rollover accident in Polkton Township.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place on 68th Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that girl had been driving northbound when she could not maintain control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway. The vehicle then flipped over multiple times, throwing her from the vehicle in the process.
On arrival, emergency responders rushed her to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital with critical injuries. The reports further revealed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
