A rollover accident involving multiple cars killed 1 person near Loop 101 and 27th Avenue (Phoenix, AZ)

On Saturday night, one person was killed in a rollover crash involving several cars near Loop 101 and 27th Avenue.

As per the Phoenix fire officials, the incident took place near Loop 101 and 27th Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. In the beginning, officials mentioned that responders rushed a woman in “extremely” critical condition. A man has been sent to a hospital in stable condition. As of now, authorities have not revealed the identity of the deceased.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety later confirmed that the wreck involved multiple cars. Capt. Scott Douglas, the spokesperson for the Phoenix Fire Department, stated that a 45-year-old woman and a man were hospitalized following the crash.

The woman inside the vehicle sustained critical injuries after being thrown off from the vehicle. She suffered multiple blunt force injuries, Douglas said. DPS confirmed that the incident was deadly but hasn’t released any other information. The cause of the crash also remains unknown.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
