A rollover accident in northwest Austin led to a fatality (Austin, TX)

One person was killed after a traffic accident Thursday in northwest Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal rollover crash took place in the 8000 block of North Capital of Texas Highway. Medics responded to the scene at about 11:51 a.m. The early reports showed that one person was thrown from their vehicle during the rollover.

Authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in a fatality. The crash led to delays near Spicewood Springs Road and northbound Loop 360 North Capital of Texas Highway while crews worked at the scene. The road fully reopened at around 3 p.m. Thursday. No other information is available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
