On early Thursday morning, a woman lost her life after her sports car convertible flipped over on the northwest side, police said.
As per the initial information, at about midnight, the San Antonio Fire Department and the San Antonio Police Department actively responded to the area of I-10 road EB at Sherwood Drive after getting reports of a rollover accident. The preliminary reports indicated that the woman was driving down at a high rate of speed down the service road when she lost control of her Mustang and rolled over.
The Mustang was a convertible with a soft top, consequently the force of the crash crushed the woman and she was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
