A rear-end crash killed 50-year-old Robert McKenzie and 22-year-old Charlie McKenzie on I-40 in Dickson (Dickson, TN)

On Monday morning, 50-year-old Robert McKenzie and 22-year-old Charlie McKenzie, both from Nashville, lost their lives after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in Dickson.

As per the initial reports, a westbound Nissan Versa crashed into an 18-wheeler from behind that had slowed down for traffic. The driver of the Nissan, 50-year-old Robert McKenzie, and his passenger, 22-year-old Charlie McKenzie, were killed as a result of the collision.

The driver of the tractor trailer remained uninjured. Westbound lanes on I-40 were shut down in the Dickson area at mile marker 178 as crews worked at the crash scene. No other details are immediately available.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the fatal crash.
