On Friday night, a man who was part of a group street racing near the Shoreline-Seattle line was killed after he took a U-turn on Aurora Avenue North and struck a semi-truck from behind, according to the Seattle police.
At about 10:45 p.m., a King County Sheriff’s deputy reported a large group of illegal street racers. As per the initial reports, a 21-year-old man was traveling south in a Honda sedan when he took a U-turn near North 145th Street and rear-ended the semi-truck, which was stopped at a light.
Despite the life-saving efforts by the paramedics, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police confirmed. Authorities will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. No other details have been released by the officials.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
