A possible racing crash left 1 person in a hospital (Harris County, TX)

One person was sent to the hospital after a possible street racing crash in north Harris County.

As per the initial information, at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Harris County sheriff’s deputies immediately responded to the area of Aldine Mail Route and Airline Drive on reports of a crash. It is believed, according to authorities, that two cars were racing when one of them collided with a pole.

One person was reportedly airlifted to the hospital by the emergency crews. The extent of injuries sustained by the victim is unknown at this time. Just after the accident, another driver who may have been involved showed up at the scene and was taken into custody. It is unclear at this time if anyone will be charged. No other details are provided.

The crash remains under active review.
