A possible hit-and-run accident claimed life of a bicyclist, Livingston Parish officials told on Monday.
Deputies received information that a body was found on the side of Buddy Ellis Road at around 7 a.m. The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office believes that the accident likely took place sometime after midnight. The victim, a 22-year-old man, was last seen leaving work off on Juban Road while riding on his bicycle late Sunday night, as per investigators.
Authorities believe that a vehicle struck him. Deputies are in search of a car with damage to the driver’s side and front end. Officials urged anyone living in the area to check security cameras and video surveillance equipment for possible evidence.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
