On Saturday, a woman received serious injuries after being hit by a pickup truck shortly after midnight.
As per the initial information, officers discovered the woman at 798 James Jackson Parkway. The preliminary investigation indicated that a Ford F-150 was traveling south on James Jackson Pkwy when it ran down the woman, who police said had been lying in the road.
The driver remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with police. The current condition of the injured woman is unknown at this time. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the vehicle.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
