A multi-vehicle pile-up killed 1 person on 10 Freeway and Lincoln Boulevard (Santa Monica, CA)

On Saturday night, a person was killed in a multi-vehicle pile-up on 10 Freeway and Lincoln Boulevard.

As per the initial information, the incident took place on the eastbound 10 Freeway at the Lincoln Boulevard overpass at about 5:46 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that nine vehicles were involved in the wreck. Reportedly, one of the involved vehicles rolled over after the accident.

On arrival, emergency responders declared one person deceased. One person with minor injuries and a person with critical injuries were taken to a hospital by the paramedics. A third patient who incurred minor injuries received treatment at the scene. CHP announced a Sig Alert in the area. All lanes of the freeway were opened again for traffic later.

The wreck remains under active review.
