On Sunday morning, a multi-vehicle accident claimed life of a person on Interstate 205 near 11th Street at about 1:40 a.m.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash involved four vehicles. Reports revealed that a vehicle was going on I-205. Simultaneously, it took a turn, overcorrected, and crashed. Then, the vehicle flipped over and came to a stop in the Number 2 and 3 lanes facing south. Consequently, the impact extricated the driver and two passengers from the vehicle.
Afterwards, another vehicle crashed with the first car. A third vehicle then hit a person in the roadway. Additionally, a fourth vehicle tried to stop but failed and collided with the second vehicle. Responders rushed the driver of the first vehicle and one of its passengers to the hospital with critical injuries. The second passenger died on the spot. Later, CHP shut down the roadway for investigation.
