A multi-vehicle accident led to the closure of McCarran northbound tunnel (Las Vegas, NV)

On Tuesday evening, northbound tunnel at McCarran airport was shut down following a multi-vehicle pile-up in Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle accident took place at about 4:45 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that a Jeep Cherokee, a Toyota Sedan and an Audi were involved in the wreck.

All victims involved in the collision reportedly refused medical care. Northbound lanes were shut down until around 8:00 p.m. as crews worked at the crash scene. Impairment is not believed to be involved in the accident at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under active review.
