Eastbound Interstate 80 was closed following a multi-vehicle wreck near the California-Nevada state line.
As per the initial information, the incident took place at about 8 p.m. near Hirschdale Road, east of Truckee in which multiple big rigs were involved. Reports revealed that a cluster of vehicles was completely closing the eastbound lanes. According to the officials, there is no estimated time of reopening of the roads.
Officials mentioned that both speed and weather were contributing factors in the accident. Tow vehicles from Truckee and Reno reached at the scene to clear the crash site. At this time, it is unclear if anybody suffered injuries as a result of the collision.
The crash remains under review.
