On Friday evening, two people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle pile-up in Lakewood.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, paramedics actively responded to the crash scene just after 10 p.m. near the intersection of South Street and Gondar Avenue wherein three vehicles were involved.
Emergency crews rushed one victim to a hospital in critical condition, and another victim received moderate injuries. A third victim suffered minimal injuries as a result of the crash. As of now, authorities have not confirmed the cause that led to the crash. The identities of the victims remain undisclosed.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
