A multi-vehicle accident killed 1 person on Highway 85 near De Anza Boulevard (San Jose, CA)

On Sunday morning, a wrong way crash killed a person on Highway 85 near De Anza Boulevard at about 8:00 a.m. in west San Jose.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident involved three vehicles. Currently, authorities did not reveal the identity of the victim. Afterwards, officials shut down the roads for traffic near De Anza Boulevard. Officers asked the drivers to use alternative routes and diverted them off the freeway North of Saratoga. However, investigators reopened the roads by 1:00 a.m.

The crash is under investigation.
