On Thursday, six people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Renton.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle pile-up took place at 140th Avenue SE and Maple Valley Highway (SR169) at about 6:15 p.m. The early reports showed that a dump truck was heading south on 140th Avenue Southeast towards the highway when it hit two vehicles before crashing into the bus, which then struck other vehicles. One person suffered critical injuries, two had serious but non-critical injuries and two others incurred only minor injuries.
The condition of the last victim is unknown at this time. Reports further revealed that one side and back of the bus were badly damaged due to the wreck. Roads in the area were shut down as crews worked at the scene. Crews were released from the scene a little after 7 p.m. No other details are made available.
An investigation is ongoing.
