On Monday night, at least three people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck near Manor on FM 973.
As per the initial information, the wreck involved three vehicles, including an 18-wheeler. The preliminary investigation showed that one person was trapped in their vehicle but was later extricated by the crews and was declared a trauma alert. That person was then airlifted through STAR Flight to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Medics transported a second victim to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The third person incurred only minor injuries and refused to be hospitalized. The authorities shut down FM 973 at Schmidt Lane as crews worked at the scene. Officials asked the motorists to seek alternative routes.
The crash remains under review.
