On Monday evening, injuries were reported following a traffic collision in Augusta.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the crash site in front of Harbor Inn Seafood, 3404 Wrightsboro Road after getting reports of a multi-vehicle accident. Fire trucks and ambulances closed the road.
The preliminary investigation showed that one vehicle appeared to be smashed in and the other had rolled over. Responders worked to drag the crashed vehicle from the scene. Officials confirmed that the incident led to injuries; however, it is unknown how many victims in total were involved in the collision. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
