A motorcycle crash along Highway 151 access road left a man in critical condition.
The incident took place at about 3 a.m. Wednesday on the Highway 151 access road, just West of Loop 410 on the West Side. According to police, the motorcycle veered to avoid hitting a vehicle that had just cut him off. He then struck a curb and crashed the motorcycle, throwing him off his bike.
The driver in the other vehicle did not stop and kept going. On arrival, medics rushed the victim was taken to the hospital with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries. The road was closed down during the investigation, but has since opened again for traffic. The identity of the injured motorcyclist remains undisclosed.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
